Assystem UK is looking for an Exhaust Emissions Project Engineer. Ongoing contracts on offer paying Limited company rate of 23.85 per hour based in West Midlands
Gasoline Exhaust Emissions attribute lead for client Cycle Plan programmes. Liaison with engine development teams to define engine / turbo outlet targets compatible with emissions capability required. Definition and execution of engine dynamometer & then vehicle testing required at client to confirm capability of our specific base

Liaison with Powertrain Calibration team to track delivery of emissions attribute through the programme.
Skills Required: Gasoline exhaust emissions system development Gasoline Powertrain Calibration / development aid user skills Engine Dyno testing Chassis dyno emissions testing Engine / Calibration / Emissions development project leadership
Skills Preferred: Matlab data analysis skills Exhaust emissions modelling skills, utilising surrogate / synthesised data Gasoline combustion system understanding / Gasoline Direct Injection systems Gasoline 3-way catalysis understanding GDI Particulate Mass emissions formation + measurement understanding. Understanding of gasoline exhaust emissions legislation in all markets Understanding of emissions certification requirements Experience Required: Gasoline powertrain calibration experience Gasoline exhaust emisisons development experience delivering exhaust emissions capability from given hardware + EMS system Self motivated leadership of powertrain development programme(s)" Experience Preferred: Gasoline exhaust emissions system development experience involvement (responsibility?) for specifying hardware + EMS system capability to deliver required exhaust emissions capability Gasoline 3-way catalyst development experience Gasoline combustion system development experience / including gasoline direct injection Gasoline DI Particulate Mass emissions formation / measurement experience Project leadership experience of multi-disciplinary / organisational project(s) Emissions certification
Education Required: HND in Mechanical Engineering / Electronic Engineering / Physics / Chemistry etc
Education Preferred: 1st Degree / Post Graduate qualification in Mechanical Engineering / Electronic Engineering / Physics / Chemistry etc
