Resulting from a sustained period of business growth my client is looking to recruit an Estimating Engineer.
This is a senior position within the company, reporting directly to the Operations Director. Ideally the successful candidate will be qualified to a HNC level or equivalent in Production Engineering and would be able to demonstrate an extensive background in the production of accurate and detailed manufacturing cost estimates generated from detailed client manufacturing drawings covering a wide variety of both machining and fabrication work.
For almost forty years, my client, a Sheffield based company, have been providing specialist, innovative and cost effective engineering solutions to a diverse range of blue chip industries. They are accredited with the Quality Management Standard ISO 9001:2000, the Environmental Management Standard ISO 14001:2004 and are fully conversant with the requirements of the CDM.
Their well equipped 40,000 square feet facility is within easy access to Junction 34 of the M1 and has recently undergone a successful transfer of ownership. The new management team have considerable engineering experience with a very pro-active outlook to the future growth of the company.
The position offers excellent future career prospects by enabling the successful candidate to take on a more senior role, combining their own estimating function, with that of the day to day operation and control of the Estimating and Sales Department. This would embrace discussion and agreement on enquiry selection and monitoring of enquiries issued to other estimators within the department (3/4 No) and telephone follow up of selected tenders.
