Prestigious railway engineering contracting company has an urgent vacancy for
an Environmental Adviser.
The role will involve advising project teams on all environmental aspects of
various overland railway infrastructure projects both internally and
externally and provide support to the Project Director and Group Environment
Manager.
You will be required to provide input into project Environmental Management
Systems in order to comply with company requirements and legislation, and
frequently liaise with third parties, such as local authorities and the
Environment Agency. Experience of waste management is also highly
desirable.
You must have experience in providing regular environmental
briefings, training and updates to project team, sub-contractors and suppliers
as necessary, and also collating and reporting environmental data for project
and business environmental KPI's.
It is essential that you have demonstrable experience of the compilation of
Section 61 applications and progress/maintenance of the applications and
subsequent monitoring on site.
You will ideally have membership of IEMA, a full awareness of ISO14001, and
will have experience of working in a rail or construction environment.
Although we are also keen to hear from recent graduates with an environmental
discipline.
