Leading civil engineering contracting company has an urgent vacancy for an Environmental Adviser to be based in the West Midlands region.
Leading civil engineering contracting company has an urgent vacancy for an Environmental Adviser to be based in the West Midlands region.
The role will involve advising project teams on all environmental aspects of various civil engineering and construction infrastructure projects both internally and externally and provide support to the Project Director and Group Environment Manager.
You will be required to provide input into project Environmental Management Systems in order to comply with company requirements and legislation, and frequently liaise with third parties, such as local authorities and the Environment Agency.
You must have experience in providing regular environmental briefings, training and updates to project team, sub-contractors and suppliers as necessary, and also collating and reporting environmental data for project and business environmental KPI's.
It is essential that you have demonstrable experience of the compilation of Section 61 applications and progress/maintenance of the applications and subsequent monitoring on site.
You will ideally have membership of IEMA, a full awareness of ISO14001, and will have experience of working in a rail or construction environment.
Please note that although the role is Birmingham based it may involve frequent UK travel (around the Midlands, Yorks and NW) and staying away overnight.
