Description
Prestigious civil engineering contracting company has an urgent requirement for for two Environmental Advisers to be based on major contracts in the central London area.
Prestigious civil engineering contracting company has an urgent requirement for for two Environmental Advisers to be based on major contracts in the central London area.
One will be based on a very exciting contract in East London and will be the on-site Environmental expert on a very high profile construction project. You will ideally have expertise in contaminated land and sustainability issues.
The other position is based on a multi-million rail engineering project which also has extensive civils interface. You will ideally have expertise in Section 61s and core civil engineering.
Both roles will involve advising project teams on all environmental aspects of various rail / civils / construction infrastructure projects both internally and externally and provide support to the Environment Manager on each project.
You will be required to provide input into project Environmental Management Systems in order to comply with company requirements and legislation, and frequently liaise with third parties, such as local authorities and the Environment Agency.
You must have experience in providing regular environmental briefings, training and updates to project team, sub-contractors and suppliers as necessary, and also collating and reporting environmental data for project and business environmental KPI's.
You will ideally have membership of IEMA, a full awareness of ISO14001, and will have experience of working in a rail or construction environment.
