Opportunities for Entry-level Scientists are available to develop an expertise in warhead materials through a structured programme of agreed and appropriate training. You will contribute to research, development, characterisation, production support post design services, in service support and life assessment activities for explosive materials and carry out company-specified activities associated with the Training Development scheme. You will be required to act in a safe and responsible manner.
Qualified to degree level or equivalent in chemistry, physics, material science/engineering, training as RISK/COSHH/Manual Handling Assessor as required.

You will have experience of working with toxic/hazardous material as well as working a laboratory environment (includes course work at university. You should have experience of working with toxic/hazardous material with an up to date knowledge of materials chemistry and science with the ability to operate test equipment, produce technical reports and interact well with other groups. You must be medically fit to work with toxic materials if required.
