Our Client are currently looking for a Engineering Manager / Maintenance Manager to look after one of there sites within the Kent area.

Our Client are currently looking for a Engineering Manager / Maintenance Manager to look after one of there sites within the Kent area.

The job holder must work to keep costs and waste to a minimum, while maintaining high standards of quality.

A good understanding of quality and cost control is therefore essential.

The business operates in a very demanding market place, it is therefore vital the job holder recognises this though the flexibility of his team.

The job holder must therefore be able to work well within a team environment and be able to interact with peer groups effectively and positively.

You will be an outstanding communicator in order for the company objectives to be delivered.

Your role will include:
•Ensuring correct stock levels are maintained
•Ensuring 100% machine availability is maintained
•Ensuring that all team members are adequately trained to perform their duties
•Participation in training activities that develop the job holder and therefore improve the flexibility and performance of the Bings engineering team and the Production team
•Ensuring all work activities are performed in a safe manner and that appropriate HSE documentation is completed to the required legal and company standards
•Working on a program of continuous improvements across his/her department.
•Working with sales and NPD on packaging innovations
•Facilitating the implementation of new projects
The production of all Company product lines, and all projects initiated must be in accordance with Company Quality Assurance standards, Human Resources, Health and Safety and other necessary procedures to ensure the continued production of Company product.

Your ability to promptly to communicate effectively with your direct team, build relationships with team leaders and managers and to inform us of any changes/ Improvements to facilitate effectiveness across a range of processes is vital to the success of the department and the business.

We need an honest, reliable, highly organised individual with good attention to detail and a down to earth, flexible approach and good communication skills.

You will have Extensive knowledge of injection and blowing moulding techniques (ideal) or related process experience (would be considered upon evidence of relationship).
You will have suitable technical qualifications (HNC Mechanical bias) or equivalent qualifications/ proven experience, Excellent man and resource management skills
While being able to demonstrate excellent hands on skills.
You will have a proactive approach to problem solving, Good administrative skills and the ability to plan and co ordinate the activities of the department, including the management of projects
