An excellent opportunity has arisen within this leading manufacturer of products into the engineering and manufacturing marketplaces for an Engineering/Technical Manager to be based at its Midlands facility which is located on the Derbyshire/Nottinghamshire border.
THE ROLE
The successful candidate will be given complete responsibility for a small engineering department. This department consists of three design engineers, a production engineer and CAD Engineer. It will be your role to ensure that all development projects are been managed through design and into production efficiently.
THE CANDIDATE
Ideally you will have a good understanding of medium/high volume, low cost product manufacture, as well as a good feel for New Product Development projects. It is therefore vital that you have the ability to lead small engineering teams as well as be focused on the commercial side of the business. This position will suit a design manager or technical engineering manager who is looking for the opportunity to progress and develop their technical skills.
