Engineering Resource Planner required by this leading defence organisation based primarily in Newcastle but with travel to other sites. MOD security clearance criteria applies to this position. Closing date for applications 21/4/08.
The ideal candidate will have attained good results at A Level, possess excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. It is vital to have a positive "can do" attitude and rigorous attention to detail. A good skill level for handling complex Excel spreadsheets and Access Databases and the ability to analyse a high volume of complex data. Good general PC skills including MS Word, PowerPoint & Project. Knowledge of business systems including the Intranet, Team Centre, SAP etc. Must be flexible and be willing to travel.
Responsibilities include: the collation of engineering resource requirements (current and potential) on monthly basis. involving regular liaison with Capability Managers - Engineering, Capability Leads, Project Delivery Chief Engineers, Project Engineering Managers and other functions, to create assessments of overall forward load requirement over a rolling 5-year period. Forward load analyses will also involve the creation of specific "what if" scenarios, which form the basis of business decisions. The sensitive nature of this data requires a high degree of discretion and confidentiality.
