Engineering Project Team Leader
We are supporting a global, diverse technology leader and the World's largest and most successful engine company. Our client leads the field in the design and manufacture of high-performance engines. The Role:
Will be the Team Leader of the specifications team reporting to the Engineering Manager
Day to day supervision of the specifications team including mentoring, workload management and performance reviews
Ownership and maintenance of circa 200 Bills of Material for all customers, including UK and US builds
Management of the Design Change Process, making go / no-go decisions for DCPs and ensuring timely processing
Management of the NORF (new options) process, making go / no-go decisions for DCPs and ensuring timely processing
Provision of technical data to support technical publications
Working with Joint Venture partner to ensure consistency & streamline processes for BOMs, part numbers, and so on
Development of suitable processes to support China facility in 2008
Requirements:
Bachelors or higher degree with at least 5 years experience
Experience of working in a specifications team, familiarity with Bills of Material and DCP and NORF processes
Experience leading and supervising a team will be advantageous
Understanding of general business issues
