We are seeking Engineering Managers to deliver technical solutions, which are legally compliant and meet the customer specification to budget on time. The Engineering Manager is responsible for delivering the product/service and interface with the customer and the supply chain, and will be based in Warrington, Gloucester or Reading.
Acting as the focal point for all technical issues on the project to which they are appointed and the prime interface between the project and the technical groups, you will develop a technical resource profile for the project and agree these requirements with the resource owners, as well as integrating and co-ordinating the engineering activities of all disciplines contributing to the project, ensuring that Optioneering Studies/Value Engineering studies are carried out and establishing a programme of engineering reviews.

You will be required to ensure that the Design Intent is maintained and demonstrated during construction and commissioning, that all designers co-operate with respect to matters on health, safety and environmental protection, that the designs contain adequate information concerning health, safety and environmental protection and that all designers working on the project give priority to the protection of personnel and the environment, and take all reasonably practical steps to avoid risks to health and safety of persons and to the environment.
Qualified to at least HNC/HND level, Degree preferred, you should be a Chartered Engineer and Corporate Membership of an Engineering Institution is preferred As Engineering Manager you should have substantial experience over a range of engineering topics or in engineering management, with experience in an engineering supervisory role over a variety of projects, some within the nuclear industry ideally.
You must be able to hold people accountable, to plan and manage resources and liaise with specialist technical groups and to to drive health & safety into designs. You should have excellent written and verbal communication skills, sharp analytical skills, good influencing skills, good interpersonal and facilitation skills, the ability to obtain information from others and a proactive, can do, solution driven attitude.
