Engineering Manager - Aerospace
An Engineering Manager is required with an Aerospace background ideally covering both Civil and Military applications. A knowledge of fans, power electronics, motors and controller is desirable. Experience of product design from conception through to design acceptance is essential. A working knowledge of applicable standards is required. Commercial awareness and the ability to design to both time and cost targets will be key to this role. You will have a working knowledge of design methods and techniques. Ideally degree qualified in an electrical / mechanical discipline with at least 5 years relevant experience.
The Engineering Manager will have the ability to interpret the requirement specification from customers and to interface effectively with other disciplines to contribute to an overall coherent design process. To ensure the development meets the specification and that all applicable standards have been addressed. You will provide Technical Leadership in product development. Your responsibilities will include: product development in support of business strategy, supervision of engineers, resource planning and management, approval of proposals, approval of design work, proposals and actual design work across a range of products, documentation and support to sales and production.
Salary is negotiable and dependent on experience.
