Our Client, based in Wednesbury, currently have a requirement for an Engineering Manager to lead the Engineering and Technical Resource of their business.

Our Client are a manufacturer of pressings and welded assemblies based in Wednesbury. They currently have a requirement to fill a newly created position of Engineering Manager.
Main duties and responsibilities of the position will include the following;
-Ensuring that Tooling, Plant and Equipment is available for production.
-Managing new Tooling projects and Product Implementations.
-Planning routine and preventive maintenance on machine tools and factory equipment as necessary and appropriate, using internal resources and/or sub-contractors.
-Managing emergency repairs/breakdown situations on tooling, machine tools and factory equipment as necessary, using internal resources and/or sub-contractors.
-Liaising with Insurers/Inspection bodies for periodic inspection and testing of machines and equipment where required to ensure safe working conditions and compliance with relevant regulations.
-Investigating alternative options for the replacement, upgrade or modification of equipment where necessary to meet demands of production and /or relevant legislation. Reporting findings to Board of Directors and making recommendations for purchase of new plant and equipment.
-Managing the implementation and commissioning of new machinery and factory equipment.
-Dealing with suppliers and arranging maintenance contracts for plant and equipment.
-Specifying, sourcing and managing stocks of plant and equipment spares.
-Carry out such tasks as may be delegated from time to time by the Executive Director.
