This is a truly exciting opportunity for a talented engineering professional to enjoy an excellent career path within the Food Manufacturing arena. One of the UK's market leading food manufacturers within their sector they have invested significantly in their operations and therefore seek a 'top flight' engineering individual to spearhead their continuous improvement initiatives.
Reporting to the Operations Director you will be responsible for a large team of 15 strong engineering professionals. You will also be responsible for the sites maintenance strategy whilst driving a continuous process culture which will deliver long term efficiency improvements. This is a pivotal role where you will be given full autonomy and ownership of the entire engineering process. You will have full responsibility for driving forward the continual improvement of engineering efficiencies and for the development of their processes and people. An inspirational leader you will initiate and manage change by providing both supportive and strategic leadership which will maximise plant performance and directly impact on the bottom line return.
Working within a fast moving food manufacturing environment your contribution will play a critical factor in their quest for continuous improvement across the engineering operations. You will be responsible for driving and developing planned preventative maintenance systems as well as providing an analytical approach to problem solving issues. You will be an engineering graduate or equivalent together with a food/drink or FMCG manufacturing background.
