Engineering Manager
£40,000

Monday to Friday - 8.30am to 5.30pm

My client, a food production manufacturer based in South Devon, is looking for an Engineering Manager on a permanent basis to start asap.

Ideally will have a minimum of 5 years experience, an engineering degree and an understanding of equipment including pumps, valves and motors.

SUMMARY OF PURPOSE
To co-ordinate and manage all aspects of Engineering on site, with Health & Safety and Food Safety as the key priorities.
To manage the effective delivery of engineering on site including planned preventive maintenance and site repairs.
To provide professional and effective engineering support and improvement to the site.

EXPERIENCE AND PROFESSIONAL SPECIFICATION

Essential
1.A minimum of five years experience in a Senior Engineering Management Role
2.Engineering degree or equivalent
3.Detailed understanding of engineering issues and processes.
4.Skilled analytical thinker with the ability to critically assess requirements and select "best fit" approach to meeting company objectives.
5.Ability to influence and collaborate at all levels in order to achieve engineering targets.
6.Ability to represent the company in a professional and highly competent manner.
7.Able to work flexible hours as required.
8.Full driving licence

Desirable
1.Chartered engineering status or in process to achieve status
2.Experience of working with Directors and senior managers and to achieve required business objectives.
3.IT literate with demonstrable Microsoft Office skills, including Word, Excel/spreadsheets, Power point, Outlook and CMMS. Autocad and Microsoft project is also desirable.
