Description
Our client, a well established and stable major continuous process manufacturing plant close to the Lake District requires an Engineering Manager. The operation is profitable, with good growth potential, and sustained high levels of capital investment
The Engineering Manager will be responsible for all shift and day craftsmen and contractors, maintenance improvement and information through an experienced team of engineers
Almost certainly a graduate, with a bias towards Electrical, Instrumentation, Control or Automation, they will have had at least 5 years experience in a supervisory/managerial role in a unionised environment. They must have experience in a continuous process industry such as glass, steel, chemicals, paper, bakery etc. Our ideal candidates will be experienced and knowledgeable practitioners in modern maintenance techniques and computerised maintenance, and have a strong commitment to, and full awareness of, safety and environmental legislation and practices. They will be excellent planners, strategically aware, analytical, tenacious and will base opinions on fact
