Description

Purpose

To provide the management effort to define, develop and deliver the Company business plan
To manage the engineering, project management and resourcing objectives.
To manage, mentor and monitor key staff to help deliver the business plan

Responsibilities

To manage the engineering, project management and recruitment aspects of the business
To manage engineering resource providers (external Agencies) in conjunction with the Commercial Manager
To manage the engineering function
To manage the project management function
To manage the recruitment function in conjunction with the Commercial Manager.
To support the MD in business plan development
To support the MD with his/her administrative requirements as required
To develop, maintain and support the relevant aspects of the companys quality management system
To develop, maintain and support the relevant aspects of the companys health and safety policy
To develop, maintain and support a continuous improvement philosophy
To support the Parent Company and its subsidiaries in developing and managing new engineering opportunities in the UK

Training, Experience & Skills Required

Degree in an engineering subject essential
Second degree in management desirable
5 years minimum experience in a similar role with a demonstrable track record of achievement
Strong engineering and recruitment acumen
Good commercial and financial acumen
Good understanding of IT systems and software essential
Good written and spoken English
Good knowledge of Airbus UK methodologies and personnel desirable

Able to represent the Company at senior level within Customers organisations and to establish sound professional and personal relations with key customer counterparts
Able to work within a small team and engineering office environment
Self-motivated
Strong engineering and personnel acumen
Proven track record in delivering results
Commitment to results based performance
