Estimated Hours ovetime: 0 Position Description: Co-ordination & presentation of Performance, Economy and Driveability status for new programmes. Demonstrate good understanding of new technologies that can influence Performance, Economy and Driveability. Development and application of key analysis tools (WOT estimator/reporter, CVSP) to identify comparative PED metrics for vehicle technologies. Lead competitor benchmark planning and all key performance, economy and driveability test requirements for new programmes. Lead the Implementation of: o Futuring & PALS strategy for programme o Programme PED status according to GPDS guidelines Develop data to support the corporate fuel economy strategy. Drive the whole life PED planning for programme. Planning and co-ordination of all supporting resource to deliver the attribute requirements.
Skills Required: Excellent communicator and organiser, with ability to present technical data at high-level reviews. Ability to manage attribute delivery using resources contained across a range of CoC's
Skills Preferred: Understanding of the vehicle calibration process in areas where it effects PED Experience Required: Experience of PED physical testing and its limitations Experience of PED CAE techniques and their limitations
Experience Preferred: Programme delivery experience to Ford GPDS guidelines Education Required: Degree qualified in an Engineering discipline, with experience of powertrain & vehicle technologies that affect performance, fuel economy or driveability. Education Preferred: MSc in Automotive Engineering
