Position Description: Diesel Calibration Engineeer Skills Required: Calibration of the EMS to meeet performance, fuel economy, OBD, driveabilty objectives and control the exhaust emissions as demanded by specific markets. Detailed knowledge of the diesel combustion process and calibration methodology including DOE approach to optimisation as well as an in depth understanding of turbocharging, fuel injection systems coupled with a detailed software knowledge is also required. Skills Preferred: In addition to excellent interpersonal skills and willingness to undertake complex problem resolution across a multi disciplined spectrum. A specific knowledge of one of the following systems will be desireable :- OBD systems , Exhaust gas aftertreatment (CDPF and SCR) application, specific software knowledege / application and simulation / modelling techniques.Applicants should have excellent computer skills able to use PC-based tools to influence / interrogate the power train control system. Experience Required: The candidate should have Extensive relevat calibration experience.. Experience Preferred: In addition to being self-motivated, applicants should have excellent interpersonal skills and be willing to travel to support environmental tests. E
