Assystem UK is looking for an Engine Calibration Engineer. Ongoing contracts on offer paying Limited company rate of 27.72 per hour based in Warwickshire
The Engine Calibration Engineer will be responsible for the following roles and responsibilities:
Calibration of the EMS to meet performance, fuel economy, OBD, driveabilty objectives and control the exhaust emissions as demanded by specific markets

The Engine Calibration Engineer will be responsible for the following roles and responsibilities:
Calibration of the EMS to meet performance, fuel economy, OBD, driveabilty objectives and control the exhaust emissions as demanded by specific markets
Detailed knowledge of the diesel combustion process and calibration methodology including DOE approach to optimisation as well as an in depth understanding of turbo charging, fuel injection systems coupled with detailed software knowledge is also required. Skills Preferred: In addition to excellent interpersonal skills and willingness to undertake complex problem resolution across a multi disciplined spectrum. A specific knowledge of one of the following systems will be desirable:- OBD systems, Exhaust gas after treatment (CDPF and SCR) application, specific software knowledge / application and simulation / modelling techniques. Applicants should have excellent computer skills able to use PC-based tools to influence / interrogate the power train control system. The successful candidate should have extensive relevant calibration experience
Experience Preferred: In addition to being self-motivated, applicants should have excellent interpersonal skills and be willing to travel to support environmental tests. Education Required: Applicants should preferably be educated to degree level in Mechanical, Electronic or Automotive Engineering and have extensive relevant calibration experience
