We have a requirement for an embedded test engineer to support the development
activities for an engine control system for an avionics application.
The project demands test and validation according to the requirements of DO-178B.
You will be responsible for preparation and execution of system level test strategies to ensure the requirements
have been fulfilled. The activity requires the design and
development in Simulink of test cases and plant simulation for running on hardware in
the loop (HIL) test equipment. The test results will
need to be compiled as a part of the certification submission.
Skills required
Experience with the design process from concept to design, implementation
and test.
Matlab/Simulink
Understanding/interpretation of software requirements;
Generation of software test plans;
Maintain test sections of Requirements Capture tool;
Setup, management, control, analysis and reporting of Requirements Based
testing;
Development of repeatable/regression tests
Preparation of test result reports
Development of test models for HIL test equipment
Experience of software testing for safety critical systems
Ability to understand and resolve problems at both system and code level.
At least 2 years' experience of developing high quality C for embedded
systems
