My client is looking for an Embedded C Software Engineer to work on Engine Control and Data Acquisition Applications. The job involves supporting the development activities for electronic control systems within tier BIOS development team. The team is responsible for the development of their ext generation series of complex multi processor engine control and data acquisition systems.
You will need to be a highly motivated team player with a strong ability to see project tasks through from initial design and specification writing through to implementation test and delivery. The fast paced development and bespoke target platform provide a challenging environment suited to engineers who can work closely with other members of a multidisciplinary team or independently as required by the demands of the task.
The majority of the software is written in C with some assembler and microcode where required for critical areas.
Basic skills required are:
Experience with the design process from concept through to design and implementation and test.
Software design experience for safety critical areas.
Ability to understand and solve problems at both system and code level.
Technical skills required:
RTOS, Logic Analysers, Scopes and other test equipment, Freescale Power architecture processors and any of the following: CPM, MMU, DMA, eTPU, eQADC, eMIOS, CAN.
