Our client is a highly successful designer and manufacturer of military electronic communication systems.
They are based in Blackburn and exports its products to customers worldwide.
The company is experiencing high growth in its business activities and is seeking an Electronics Technician to work with our engineering team who has demonstrable industrial experience (preferably more than two years) of working in a hi-technology electronics industry.
The role will include:-
• Assembly, modification and rework of development hardware.
• Assist with the assembly of specialist low volume products.
• Prototype construction including using SMT components
• Fabrication of Test Jigs.
• Responsible for the daily up keep of the development laboratory including asset control, equipment loans, equipment servicing etc
• Maintaining development component stores
We would like the candidate to have:-
• Knowledge of manual assembly and rework of SMT PCB assemblies with BGA and 0402 content
• Assembly of prototype product into caseworks
• Modification and assembly of wring, cables, connectors.
• Test rig design and build experience
• Basic computer skills (Word, Excel)
• Generation of basic assembly documentation
• Self motivated, ability to work unsupervised with Problem solving skills
• A good basic knowledge of Electronics together with hands-on electronic laboratory skills
