Electronics/Physics Development Engineer
An opportunity to join an experienced bio-medical electronics/optics design and development team working in collaboration with a University Research Department.
Degree in Electronics or Physics with electronics.
Experience:
2 to 3 years experience of working in electronic/optic instruments design and development; practical experience of analogue and digital signal processing; practical experience of photo detectors, lasers and fibre optics.
Software experience of C/C++ programming for PC and embedded systems or programming using MatLab would be advantageous.
Description:
The work involves the development and production of pre-production prototypes of a unique medical electronics/optics instrument, starting with bench top systems developed by the University research team. The instrument will be the first of a family of instruments planned for development over a period of several years.
The successful candidate is expected to make a significant contribution to the project and show initiative in design, problem solving and evaluation and testing of systems. He/she will be part of a small team of experienced bio-engineers, physicists and programmers and will work under the direction of the chief development engineer.
Salary: £23,000 - £30,000 (Plus Pension contribution and profit related bonus)
