Job Description
An electronics engineer is required for the design of quartz crystal oscillators using both empirical and CAD techniques.
Work will involve circuit design, breadboard build, test, analysis and documentation of the final design.
The successful applicant will join a small dedicated team working on product designs at the forefront of world technology, for military and space applications.
The applicant must have a very good understanding of RF circuit operation and be able to design RF circuits on multilayer PCBs and thick film substrates, using appropriate software.
They must also be able to follow written instructions, keep good records and produce work instructions and drawings, in cooperation with manufacturing engineers and other design engineers.
They must also be able to use IM tools such as Word and Excel.

It is desirable that the applicant has experience in CAD/CAE software (Mentor Graphics or Agilent ADS preferred) and/or has demonstrated a hands-on ability to sort out problems with hardware. Some expertise in digital electronics, thermal/mechanical modelling or design for manufacture would be an advantage.
The applicant must be able to work as part of a small group (and sometimes alone).
Successful candidates will be required to be security cleared prior to appointment.
Given the nature of their work, our Client needs to obtain security clearance for all its employees. Sadly this is extremely hard to secure for non-British applicants. In effect this means that our Client can only consider British passport holders for this position.
