Excellent opportunity for an Electronics Engineer to join this world-class supplier of innovative, high performance actuation systems and equipment for the aerospace and defence industry.
As Electronics Engineer you will be responsible for providing EMC support to integrated project teams designing and developing actuation products for harsh environments. You will also advise on EMC control techniques and methods and perform EMC analysis. In particular, you will identify the potential for improvement and contribute to the development of the Engineering analysis facilities and be responsible for developing the level of competency in design and analysis techniques in other electronics engineers and designers. You will support technical proposals and submissions and provide an engineering input throughout all phases of the project, across core markets as required. You will liaise with customers and participate in design reviews and project meetings. You will also liaise with test laboratories and structure test programmes, ensuring timely and cost effective testing. You will create sub-system design specifications and interface specifications which decompose the customers requirements from the system level specification. You will prepare schemes and provide technical support for test programmes and analyse test results and report findings. You will undertake the supervision of Junior staff and guide the work of support staff.
Qualified to degree level or equivalent in an engineering discipline, you will have experience in an Aerospace/Defence environment in the design and development of electronic equipment. You will also have experience of designing for EMC compliance, preparing EMC documentation, EMC testing and attaining approval and analogue electronics. Experience in digital electronics with motor and servo control equipment would be desirable.
