An Electronics Engineer with Analogue design experience is required for leading pressure measurement and control instrumentation client. Based on the outskirts of Leicester, candidates will have the opportunity to work on full design life-cycle.

My client is an industry leader in the design and manufacture of sensing elements, devices, instruments, and systems that enable customers to monitor, protect, control, and validate the safety of their critical processes and applications. Based in Leicestershire, UK, this is a great opportunity to join the instrument design team utilizing your board-level embedded and/or instrument level design skills to develop leading edge microprocessor-based pressure measurement and control instrumentation.
Essential Functions (Responsibilities):
As a practical, energetic, design engineer you will work in small, self-motivated teams transforming customer CTQ requirements into products.
You will be involved in all phases of hardware development from concept through to manufacture.
This important role will involve working closely with a multi-disciplinary team of electronic, mechanical and software engineers, together with manufacturing groups to ensure the product design is optimised for performance, cost and manufacture-ability. Six Sigma quality tools will be used to enhance the design process.
Applicants will need to have good communication skills and be able to present details of your design and its status to peers and managers.
This position will also require you to assist product support engineers and customers, helping to resolve field problems, whilst learning more about our customers needs and various product applications.
Qualifications/Requirements:
Degree level qualification in Electronic engineering
3+ years of applied, "hands-on" design experience in a related industry.
Excellent communication skills
Proven ability in low power digital and analogue circuit design
Proven ability in design for EMI/EMC
Proven ability to efficiently generate creative solutions to challenging cost-constrained designs.
Proficient using schematic capture tools (Mentor Graphics Design PADs schematic and PowerPCB an advantage) and the ability to define critical routing requirements to Layout Engineers.
Proficient at designing for manufacture
Knowledge of design for electrical safety
Knowledge of FPGA design and PCI or PCI-X design
