An opportunity has arisen for an electronics engineer with power experience. Candidates should have experience with switch-mode power design, IGBT or Mosfet technology. Working with a medium sized client in Andover on motor design technology.
An opportunity has arisen for an electronics engineer with power experience. Candidates should have experience with switch-mode power design, IGBT or Mosfet technology. Working with a medium sized client in Andover on motor design technology.
Understanding and implementing the requirements for electronic hardware systems:
Implementing external and internal requirements expected of hardware systems. Specifying interface, quality, production and logistics requirements for market / client for hardware design. Producing design specifications in co-operation with the (project) team.
Development of electronic hardware systems:
Undertake analysis and testing to ensure that design meets the internal/external requirements. Drawing up alternative solutions under consideration of production and economic aspects, assessment and co-ordination with the responsible departments.
Drawing up time schedules. Continuous co-ordination with other developers and special departments to ensure integration and functionality. Monitoring and testing the latest technologies, electronic components and tools for hardware development available on the market. Drawing up testing specifications. Testing systems or having the systems tested, and releasing the system in co-ordination with the responsible departments.
Adapting and optimizing existing hardware systems:
Redesigning systems, e.g, by functional and component changes. Adapting existing hardware systems according to hardware or client specifications to fulfil demands and production requirements. Taking into account the effects on the function and efficiency of the overall system. Optimising systems on the basis of systematic weak-point analysis.
Preferred Skills:
Degree or equivalent skills
Basic BLDC motor knowledge - not essential
Knowledge of CADStar (or similar)
Knowledge of PSpice (or similar)
Knowledge of FMEA and APQP
Analysis and evaluation skills
Communication skills written and verbal
