Description
An Electronics Engineer is required to join a specialist automotive client. Candidates will work on the design and development of Electronic Systems for Coaches and Buses. Experience of diagnostic tools and development of embedded controllers is required.

Key Functions of Job:
>?? Develop vehicle electronics systems, including Hybrid vehicles, to the level that current technology permits.
>?? Develop & maintain Multiplex systems for vehicles.
>?? Maintain the in-house software writing skills to meet production level requirements.
>?? Maintain and develop as required the VEPS system for Production programming of engines.
>?? Maintain the level of knowledge required of supplier electronic components to maintain the compatibility levels for all vehicle types.
>?? Supervise the validation of Chassis software introduction to confirm suitability for production.
>?? Assist in establishing the Electronic system strategy for current and NPI vehicles
>?? Perform Design and Development tasks as required by project plans issued by Product Team Managers where related to your specialist area.
Support all products when required, liasing with all areas of the business as necessary.
Experience:
Automotive industry experience.
Industry experience with working on complex electronic systems
Embedded controllers
Expert user of general diagnostic tools such as:
- CAN Analyser/Cummins Insight and similar Gearbox and ABS Tools
- Problem Solving
- Report Writing
- Ability to communicate/translate technical information to non-technical members of staff
Embedded controllers
Needs to be happy not getting involved in electronic product development.
