Our client a leading tier one automotive specialising automotive safety is looking for a degree qualified electronic engineer to join the established team in Birmingham. Your main role will be to undertake detailed design work to generate quality products and to ensure the full manufacturability to products

Successful candidate will have the ability to design electronics for automotive engine management systems, with knowledge of both analogue and digital circuits. In addition to this you will the capable of working with electronics CAD packages (Mentor) especially schematic capture and simulation tools. You will also have a good understanding of electronics components, processes, assembly techniques and testing involved in the volume manufacture of automotive electronics

Principal Accountabilities

•To undertake concept designs, detailed designs, design analyses, electronic FMEAs for products from project initiation through to completion, involving analogue and digital hardware designs
•To ensure that all designs produced are fully suited to the chosen manufacturing process both for assembly and test
•To ensure quality designs are produced
•To ensure that all designs are validated in accordance with the product requirements
