Electromagnetic Design Engineer B.Sc. 2:1, Ph.D. level
You will be primarily responsible for electromagnetic design of generators ranging from 0 to 2000kVA. The role includes manufacturing support, verification of test results and product approval. Previous experience in the design of rotating electrical machines or similar electromagnetic devices. Fundamental knowledge of Electromagnetic fields.
Very high competency in Maths.
Production of Electromagnetic designs for given performance specifications.
Manage research projects on time and on budget.
Liaise on modifications as necessary with all areas of the Engineering Department during the design phase.
Produce ongoing modifications to machine design as needed to improve safety, performance, cost effectiveness, reliability, ease of manufacture etc. to suit all internal and external Customers.
Liaise with Material Control and Suppliers on specification and availability of materials, keeping abreast with the latest technologies for EM design
