An opportunity to work at one of Europe's most modern shipbuilding facilities.
As a time served tradesman or equivalent, you will be involved in the build of new surface ships for the Royal Navy.
You will be required to:-
Read/Interpret Electrical Drawings.
Install Electrical Equipment. Small/Medium/Large.
Fault Find on electrical circuits and equipment
Carry out Electrical Testing. Insulation/Continuity/Phase/Earth
Use crimping tools
Solder
Terminate Cables. Pumps/Motors/Switchboards/Fuse Panels/Transformers/Consoles
Install Cable Support Systems/ Cable Tray/Basket/Conduit/Hangers
Pack various types of glands
Set to work electrical machinery and equipment
Self certify own installations
Terminate multi pin plugs
The type of work involved is as follows; Reeving cables throughout the ship, installing cable support systems including conduit and tray, Installing and terminating electrical equipment and carrying out electrical testing
The basic salary is £21,008 with overtime premiums paid after 37 hours, as well as an uplift on shift work.
