JOB CONTEXT:
Electrical & Instrument Engineer to work as part of a small team of engineers on multiple projects of various sizes and technologies. All aspects of electrical and instrument engineering and design undertaken.
JOB PURPOSE:
To manage resources in department. Allocation of project tasks/activities to best match skill levels. Supervision of E & I Engineers.
KEY INTERFACES INTERNAL:
Project Managers/Engineers
Proposals
Sales
Document Controllers
Purchasing
KEY INTERFACES EXTERNAL:
Clients
End Users
Fabricators
Sub Contractors
Vendors
KEY DUTIES:
Generate specification sheets.
Technology development.
Maintain standards and working practices.
Act as a consultant on all E & I related issues in the company.
PID review.
Loop & hook-up drawings.
Vendor inspection.
Specification of E & I Subcontractor.
Field work.
Control Panel FAT.
Instrument cost estimates.
Electrical drawings (single line working).
MCC specifications.
LV/MV switchgear specifications.
Transformer specifications.
Control Drawings.
Control system specifications
Any other duties deemed reasonable and within the capability of the jobholder.
Technology
Electronic instruments.
Flow computer systems incorporating vortex, orifice and turbine metering systems.
Flame safeguard, burner management.
Shutdown systems.
Smart transmitters.
Relief valve specification and procurement.
Hazardous areas.
PLC's and interface with DCS.
SCADA systems.
Database for Instrument Index.
Principle Plant
Electrostatic coalescing.
FGTP.
Steam Reforming & PSA.
Produced water treatment.
Water injection systems.
PERSONAL PROFILE:
Qualifications:
Degree/HND in relevant subject.
Background/Experiences:
Oil, Gas and Chemical Industry with Engineering Contractors.
5 years direct, relevant experience.
A good understanding of AutoCAD.
Experience/competent in using MS office, Word, Excel, Access, Project & Outlook.
Other Attributes:
Excellent communication skills.
Professional approach to the job.
Self motivated.
Ability to work unsupervised with a high degree of accuracy.
