Electrical Systems Engineer required for an immediate start initial 7 month contract, for a large defence organisation based in Basingstoke The main p
rpose of the role is the specification of a Power Supply assembly for a secure communications project Key Tasks of the Role Negotiating technical solutions with a suppliers / customers for vehicle charging systems Testing of the Power Supply assembly Support to integration and test with respect to the power supply Support to safety case and ILS activities Understanding of the impact of high and low temperatures Understanding of Li-ion and Lead-acid battery performance and charging is needed Experience / Skills Required Ability to design, specify, select equipment and test multi-source power supply system for communications equipment Li-ion battery performance and charging There may be the occasional requirement to travel from Basingstoke to site in South West of England, so flexibility would be an advantage SC cleared candidates would be an advantage, as all applicants will be required to undergo full security clearance In return, we can offer a competitive pay rate, flexible working hours, on-site facilities and free-parking
