Electrical Systems Engineer required for an ongoing long term contract in Derby for a major rail company.
Successful candidate will assist in the specification and integration of new electrical systems on rolling stock projects. This will include generation of technical requirement protocols, review of supplier proposals and liaison with other engineering functions to ensure the design meets the requirements.

Successful candidate will assist in the specification and integration of new electrical systems on rolling stock projects. This will include generation of technical requirement protocols, review of supplier proposals and liaison with other engineering functions to ensure the design meets the requirements.
The engineer will also be responsible for identifying and overseeing validation and verification activities to demonstrate compliance of the designs with the technical requirements.
Prepare electrical schemes by providing design input to the ordinary train control system.
Produce and manage the specification of one or more electrical systems for the rolling stock design.
Assist with the electrical control and integration of mechanical systems as required.
40 hours per week Monday to Friday.
