Electrical Surveyor required for a leading Classification Society.
The electrotechnical systems team provides design appraisal services and specialist advisory support to external clients and internal colleagues world wide.
These services help our clients to develop sound designs for electrical and control systems installed in ships and other marine applications, ensuring safety of life at sea and protecting the environment.
Job Responsibilities
Our client requires a surveyor to carry out design appraisal and plan approval of electrical and control engineering systems for a variety of ship types. This is a fast moving area of technological development in the marine industry with the application of computer technology and advancements in electrical power generation and distribution on board.
The position offers the opportunity for the applicant to bring their experience to the team and to work with some of our clients leading specialists to develop across the range of activities.
Job Requirements
Qualified Electrical Engineer Chartered or working towards chartered status Ideally with a marine background
Experience in some of the following areas would be advantageous: -
Electrical power generation and distribution,
Electrical machines,
Electrical protection systems,
Control engineering systems,
Marine navigation systems
