The Company
My client provide a comprehensive service for multi-million pound design and build, PFI and traditional contracts throughout the UK. Specialist sector skills include health, education, commercial, industrial, government, defence, pharmaceutical and retail.
As the Major Project Division my client have the in house capability of managing the complete installation of the building services element of the works through dedicated M&E site teams responsible from conception to completion for the design, procurement and installation of the services installation.
We are currently looking to recruit an Electrical Supervisor for prestigious multi-million pound commercial office building in central Reading.
Responsibilities
The electrical supervisor will be responsible to the electrical engineer and expected to carry out/ be responsible for the day to day management of the complete electrical installation including:
On site liaison for the Incoming services between, utility companies and construction team to ensure timely delivery / installation of all required incoming services.
Full co-ordination and liaison with construction team to ensure interface co-ordination.
Health & Safety issues relative to the complete contract and particular package contractors under direct control.
Effective management and co-ordination of the electrical package contractors.
Attend progress meetings as required to ensure accuracy of information.
Manage the on site programming of works/ delivery of materials to suit main construction programme.
QA procedure compliance including audit trail to ensure compliance.
Monitoring of progress in relation to the construction programme.
Monitoring of test data relative to the design parameters to achieve consultant sign off.
Witnessing of all site tests for statutory documentation/ IEE certificates for electrical supplies, fire alarm, emergency lighting etc and sign off with building control.
Commissioning management on site co-ordination.
Checking of As built drawings to ensure accuracy.
Sign off procedures.
