Electrical supervisor required to supervise a team of maintenance engineers at a site in the Russell Square area. Salary £30-£35kpa accordind to experience.
Job Title Electrical Supervisor
Location: Russell Square Central London
Salary: £30,000 - £35,000 pa depending on experience
Hours: 8am - 5pm, Monday - Friday
Benefits: 25 days holidays and pension
Our client, a Blue Chip company, are currently seeking an electrical supervisor to supervise a team of maintenance engineers in this high profile building in the Russell Square area.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
- manage the operational staff within the electrical, mechanical and carpentry sections of the Estates Department, in particular taking responsibility for some HR aspects of his/her staff;
- recruitment selection, induction, appraisal, and performance of the maintenance staff;
- manage all absences and annual leave within the Department;
- set out and monitor all PPM and day to day tasks for each section of the Department;
- manage risk assessments and method statements for all work carried out by the Maintenance Department and external contractors;
- obtain quotations, measure and price works and order materials for both maintenance and new works to provide a timely and effective response to all tasks;
- to manage the maintenance emergency on call system ensuring that sufficient cover is provided.
Skills / Qualifications Required:
- candidates should be qualified to a minimum of City and Guilds Parts 1& 2 in Electrical Installations (or equivalent);
- ONC or HND in Electrical is preferred but not essential;
- candidates should have at least 3 years experience in a building maintenance environment;
- candidates must be well presented;
- candidates must have excellent communication skills;
- candidates must be computer literate.
