Aggreko UK Ltd. To design and manage the delivery of key aspects of our power generation and ancilliary power distribution equipment in conjunction with our international supply base.
An outstanding opportunity for an adaptable and highly motivated Electrical Engineer to join our successful technology development team. You will be responsible for interpreting customer requirements to deliver improved product design for our portable power generation and electrical distribution products to be used across the Aggreko international hire fleet. You will work closely with suppliers in low cost economy regions to improve quality, cost and delivery performance. This is an electrical design engineering role in a fast-paced, international and customer facing environment.
The Aggreko Manufacturing team has sole responsibility for the development of new products and the continuous improvement of our current products in use through our Rental Fleet across the World. Our product range includes industrial power generators, temperature control equipment and compressed air systems. You will be involved from the initial concept, through the design and development processes to the technical support of manufacturing and subsequent deployment of the products throughout our global businesses.
The successful candidate will have:
At least an HNC (or equivalent) in Electrical Engineering.
Good knowledge of electrical controls (i.e. panels, generator controls. Motor control centres, drives, etc) and equipment specification
AutoCAD drawing experience and application of electrical standards.
Good knowledge of protection devices (fuses, MCCB, CB, RCD etc)
HV knowledge would be useful
Experience in a challenging manufacturing environment. Ability to work to tight timescales and under pressure. Flexible and responsive to change.
Prepared to travel internationally
