Job Purpose
To liase and carry out engineering work to enable the dept to carry out the successful build and testing of assemblies.
Key responsibilities:
1. To carry out work, competently and within the times laid down by the supervisor.
2. To work closely with customers and Senior Technicians to keep up to date with current technical developments.
3. To attend internal and external training courses, as directed by Line Manager.
4. To maintain the workshop in a clean and safe condition to the required standard at all times.
5. To adopt safe working practices at all times in compliance with Health and Safety regulations and company policy, drawing to the attention of Electrical Department supervisor any matter of concern relating to safety of equipment or safety procedures they cannot resolve.
6. To be prepared to work extra hours at short or even no notice if requested by the Management.
7. Highlight problem areas in parts flow, carry out bills of material updates, record and document faulty parts.
8. Ensure all drawings are up to date and correct Specification.
9. For new work ensure bills of materials are in place and drawings are complete to enable build.
10. To design electrical systems to meet the requirements of internal and external customers.
11. To attend weekly meetings and bi-annually Personnel Achievement Meetings.
12. To complete all tasks inline with the codes of practice laid out by the department.
Work Experience:
An understanding of electrical systems within Competition cars.
An understanding of Raychem system 25.
An understanding of Cad systems.
Electrical engineering to degree level.
Knowledge / experience
> Previous experience in professional motorsport
