OVERVIEW - A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an Electrical Technician to join the team at this leading UK soft drinks business. You will work as part of the engineering function, actioning and developing maintenance practices and improvements to ensure best in industry standards for reliability, wastage and cost effectiveness are achieved.

THE JOB - Your responsibilities will involve providing breakdown and performance maximisation for the operations team on a shift basis. Asset care routines are a key element of the role and you will propose improvements. Communicating to colleagues, engineering coordinators, team leaders and other relevant parties will be key to this role, as it will ensure information relating to engineering work and issues will be made aware to all on site. You will also ensure that health and safety is constantly considered and that the training needs of the shop floor operators are understood. You will also get involved in training and coaching in new engineering skills. You will be key in ensuring machine modifications are identified and incorporated into the site plans and budget.
YOUR SKILLS - Ideally you will have 16th edition training or a City & Guilds/ONC in Electrical engineering. Significant production line experience, preferably in an fast moving food/drink environment is important as is knowing planned preventative maintenance practices. You will have experience of PLC systems (particularly Siemens S7). You will be an enthusiastic and customer focused leader of people. With strong communication skills, you will strive for results.
