Description

An automotive first tier supplier requires an Electrical Maintenance Engineer

Job Responsibilities/Duties:

PLC Programming
Working within the

echanical and Electrical Department, carrying out maintenance tasks
Fault finding
Repairing modules
Electrical project set up
Attending to electrical issues on shop floor and around the building.

Minimum Requirements: -

City and Guilds or ONC in electrical engineering
A recognised Electrical Apprenticeship (Time Served or Indentured)
Have experience of Electrical Engineering, at least some of which must be in a production line environment
Have a proven track record in maintenance, fault finding and repair of complex PLC controlled electrical machinery, preferably Siemens S5, Siemens S6
Be computer literate to a basic standard (i.e. has worked before with word processor and spreadsheet programs, or used PC to program PLC or some other engineering system)

Would have at least some of the following: -

Have up to date 16th IEE Regulations qualification
Have a City & Guilds PAT testing qualification
Fault finding on PLC controlled machinery
Work experience on automated welding assembly lines
Work experience on robotic systems (ideally ABB robots)
Any multi-skill work experience (i.e pneumatics, hydraulics, etc)
Work experience on Simatic HMI panels (OP17, MP370 panels)
PLC programming (ideally Siemens Step 5 and Step 7)
Field Bus systems experience (i.e. Interbus, Profibus, ASIbus, Device Net, etc.)
have previously designed, installed and commissioned electrical modifications to existing machinery, to improve the production process
have previously designed, installed and commissioned complete PLC/Electrical systems for machinery from scratch.
