Senior Electrical Machines Design Engineer - Aerospace.
Looking for an experienced Electrical Machines Design Engineer with at least 5 years experience designing electrical machines for Aerospace and Defence applications. The main activity would be the bespoke design of induction motors and brushless DC motors in the range 100W to 10kW. Knowledge of control systems and motor drive systems would be beneficial. Commercial design software and electro-magnetic finite element analysis tools will be used. Ideally degree educated but will consider relevant experience.
You will be responsible for the design and development of electrical machines to meet customer requirements.
and provide technical support for existing electrical machine products to the production area and customer support.
You must have an ability to interpret requirements from customers and to interface effectively with other colleagues, departments and suppliers as necessary. Significant interaction with customers will be required as well as some travel.
Salary is negotiable and dependent on experience.
