ELECTRICAL INSTALLATION TECHNICIAN
SPEED ENFORCEMENT SYSTEMS
BASED WATFORD/ M25
ATTRACTIVE SALARY + OVERTIME
Our client is about to launch a new product to market which will be the first of its type in the UK. The speed monitoring system is microprocessor based and relies heavily on WAN / LAN networks to function. They have won a major contract to install the latest state of the art speed monitoring cameras which calculate average speed from any two points in the speed detection zone within the Greater London area.
The department is responsible for installing new speed monitoring equipment by the road side basically within the M25, which includes the installation of rack based equipment into road side cabinets, cabling, commissioning and testing back to the clients back office facility. They are also responsible for the maintenance and fault repair of existing installations which includes the need to work on an on call rota.
They now require an experienced Electrical Technician or Electrician with 16th edition qualifications to undertake installation/testing and maintenance work.
The work is varied so a background as a plant electrician or some experience of installing computer Control systems would be helpful. You will need to pass the Metropolitan Police security clearance as you will be in regular contact with their technical control centre. A company van with mobile, laptop and relevant training will be provided. The company is expanding rapidly not just in the UK but overseas so career prospects are exceptional for the ambitious candidate.
