ELECTRICAL ENGINEERS
AUTOMOTIVE INDUSTRY
NORFOLK
Electrical Engineers are now required at this leading car manufacturer in Norfolk to support the Release Engineers or Senior Engineer to deliver technical solutions to project teams within required cost, quality and time targets.
The Electrical Engineers will be responsible for the technical ownership of focused vehicle subsystems, integration or component design within a project and support for BOM. You will undertake the creation of component drawings, assembly drawings, electrical harness drawing and provide support in the creation of the typical section book and vehicle package model. You will also be responsible for fit and function testing of subsystem components as well as the collation of test results and concern reports. You will provide support to the Release Engineer/Manager in generating planning and proposal information if required and also support the department in achieving the requirements of quality systems approval (QS 9000, Ford Q1 etc).
Successful candidates will be educated to at least HNC level or equivalent in Electrical Engineering. Ideally you will have an automotive background, but applications are also welcome from candidates from other transport industries. You will be PC literate with knowledge of CAD. You must be willing to travel as some short haul and long haul travel may be required as part of this role. Work outside of core hours may also be necessary from time to time.
