Our Client is a leading firm of Chartered Engineers who supply property advice and services to the Telecommunications industry. An opportunity has arisen for an Electrical Engineer to join their Design team. The position will be located in their West Malling (Kent) office. While the majority of the work is within the telecommunications sector there is a requirement for the successful candidate to be aware of current building services design. You should be a team player with a proactive approach.

An opportunity has arisen for an Electrical Engineer to join their Design team. The position will be located in their West Malling (Kent) office. While the majority of the work is within the telecommunications sector there is a requirement for the successful candidate to be aware of current building services design. You should be a team player with a proactive approach. There will be travelling in the UK particularly in Scotland, Northern Ireland and Southern England.
You will be working with a dedicated team and will develop your existing skills in this flexible and demanding role.
Main responsibilities will include:
•Attending site surveys
•Designing and ensuring production of planning and electrical drawings
•Producing reports
•Liaising with clients
•Attending close out surveys and producing completion reports, including as built information
As an Electrical Engineer you will be expected to produce effective solutions to a range of electrical supply requirements in a multitude of environments.
The successful candidate will be expected to expand the design team in the proposed office, whilst reporting to the design director.
This is an exiting opportunity to join a fast expanding dynamic company in the field of telecommunications in middle management and to help guide it forward.
Essential Skills & Experience:
Sound electrical design experience and conversant with BS7671 Electrical Wiring Regulations and other related standards
Experience of lightning protection system design
HNC Electrical Engineering or above (or equivalent)
Driving licence
Good communication and organisation skills
Desirable Skills & Experience:
Telecoms experience, specifically RF microwave
Survey experience
Experience with Autocad and Heavacomp
