Electrical Engineer (Senior to Consultant) - Electrical, Power Systems, Transmission, Project Management, HV
The Consultant Engineer, Principal Engineer, Senior Lead Engineer, Senior Engineer will contribute toward the overall goals of Transmission Asset Management and will ensure that capital assets are assessed, designed, constructed, maintained and commissioned to meet the clients requirements as to suitability, timing, cost and safety.
Transmission Asset Management (TAM) is responsible for the translation of identified system reinforcements, refurbishments and connections from conceptual stage through planning permission into the design stage and for ensuring the maintenance of the transmission system.
The key responsibilities of the Consultant Engineer, Principal Engineer, Senior Lead Engineer, Senior Engineer will include:
Manage from conception to completion a suite of capital projects on behalf of the company.
Coordinate with other departments in the company and comply with all internal processes to ensure goals are achieved.
Prepare and obtain approval for annual budgets for area of responsibility and operate within these budgets
Support public relations issues pertaining to the approval process for new assets in area of responsibility
Manage contractual arrangements for area of responsibility
Report as required on all projects within area of responsibility
Manage external stakeholders
Essential qualifications/skills:
Engineering qualification to degree level or equivalent.
Sound relevant post-qualification experience in the Power/Transmission or construction sector.
Sound knowledge of 110/220/400kV transmission technology
Full driving licence
