Our Client has a great opportunity for a graduate electrical engineer to work in the water industry
Job Title: Electrical Engineer -based in Southampton
Working on the design of water and waste water treatment plants (also there may be some building services)
This position would suit a graduate engineer or a person currently working in the electrical installation industry with practical experience
and wishing to progress their career in contracting.

The role is office and site based.
Essential:
General Education: min ONC in Electrical Engineering
Desirable:
Degree in Electrical Engineering
or Degree in Water / Environmental
Engineering.
City & Guilds 2380,2391 & 2400.
Construction / Engineering site
awareness.
Familiar with AutoCAD software.
EXPERIENCE:
Desirable: Having worked in industry for 1 - 4 year.s
Preparation of detailed engineering
drawings, I.e cable routing & production
of schedules from schematics, cable
calculations and material selection.
A basic understanding of relay logic,
PLC's, SCADA systems and
instrumentation would be useful.
Support Engineering
Co-ordination with design team in
engineering / building services projects.
Ability to undertake material take-offs
from drawings / specifications.
Preparation of Method Statements and
Risk Assessments.
Familiar with QA / Document control
SKILLS:
Numeracy, Literacy, IT Conversant
i.e MS Word / Excel proficient
To be able to work in a busy
project office environment.
Not Essential
Needs to be a Team Player
Self motivation required to produce
work to meet deadlines
