Electrical Engineer

Required Skills
*Strong proven background in Electrical Engineering with proven technical track record i.e. developed from indenture apprentice to technician, to engineer.
*Conversant with modern maintenance techniques and be capable of implementing continuous improvement processes.
*Experience with PLC's, Siemens S5, S7 as well as Hitachi systems.
*Skilled in the Management of people as will have responsibility for a specific area of the plant and its technicians
*Ability to understand and develop technician competency
*Focused on engineering performance and productivity
*Knowledge of all modern Health and Safety legislation and their impact on all mechanical maintenance activities.
*Ability to anlyze faults and derive an effective working solution
*Experience of working with; confined space, heights, manual handling
*Experience/Knowledge f other aspects of engineering desirable
*Background in hands on maintenance roles
Qualifications
*Minimum of a HNC in Electrical Engineering
*Indentured Apprenticeship in Electrical Engineering

*Hands on, practical and un-bureaucratic character
*Robust, ambitious and confident in their ability, whilst highly analytical and creative
*Experience in manufacturing industry especially in relation to maintenance of large plants and machinery, preferably in industries such as sugar, salt, smelting steel etc.
A team player who can act independently when required to get the job done.
*A strong communicator who is highly motivated with the ability to challenge existing practices
