Prestigious Automotive OEM based in Surrey urgently seeks a Catia V5 EDS Design Engineer for a long term contract.
Purpose of the Role:
Packaging of electrical system components and wiring, including brackets and grommets where appropriate, within a CATIA V5 environment.
Role Dimensions:
o 6 month contract with possibility of extension.
o Reporting to Senior EDS Engineer for day to day tasks.
o 45 hours per week in accordance with core working hours Mon-Fri 9.30-4.30.
Principal Accountabilities:
Packaging of Control units, sensors, actuators and other electrical peripherals relating the following systems;
o Infotainment system including sound amplifier, speaker system and antennae
o Tyre pressure monitoring
o Active restraints
o Parking distance control
o Convertible roof electrical system
o Interior controls
o Bracket, grommet and fixing scheme designs
o Harnessing signal, high current and ground cabling
